Your Meditation Coach
My name is Adam, I am a Meditation Teacher with over four years of experience who has studied at the Sydney Institute of Meditation, becoming a member of Meditation Association of Australia, the governing body of meditation in Australia. With meditation being a passion of mine, I have a strong belief that people can benefit from developing a practice. It’s a matter of being open minded and giving it a try.
Once you try and feel the benefits for yourself, you will be sure to adopt a regular practice. Many of us have developed a training program for our bodies, it is important we train our minds too. Meditation has helped me to cultivate mindfulness into my everyday life, reducing stress, to be more at peace with what I have and not what I do not. The practice of meditation improved my emotional wellbeing and overall life in general. It’s because of these benefits that I became a meditation teacher to share the gift with others. I am also a qualified Fitness Instructor with a Level 1 CrossFit certificate and have a combination of physical and mental exercise in my weekly routine.
Our life is shaped by our mind, for we become what we think.

About us
At Sixth Density we take health and fitness seriously. We believe that with the right balance of physical and mental exercise with adequate nutrition anyone can live a fulfilling life, and we are here to help you achieve that!
Sixth Density was born from the idea of having a more fulfilling career. We are a couple with a passion for health, fitness, and wellbeing. Our goal is to help others. Through our services we wish to impact the life of our clients in a positive way. It’s about you more than it’s about us. Our vision is to provide a space for our clients to adopt a regular practice of physical and mental exercise in a social environment.
What does Sixth Density mean?
Our name is derived from metaphysics. It is suggested that there are eight densities of consciousness, six physical and two densities that exist beyond the physical body. Right now most of us as humans reside in the third density although some may reside in the fourth or fifth.
From a metaphysical standpoint what we wish to do is elevate our clients state of consciousness into the sixth density, the highest density in which we can be in physical form. At the sixth density we are more peaceful, harmonious, and graceful than at lower densities. A sixth density being understands the nature of reality and the meaning of life.

Our life is shaped by our mind, for we become what we think.

What is Meditation?
Meditation is focussing your attention on something. There are various things that we can draw our attention to e.g. our body, breath or even a mantra. It is relaxing, requires stillness, and allows us to look within, become aware and focus.
Meditation is an exercise for the mind; it is a personal experience, a journey. It can be practiced in a secular, spiritual or religious way.

Meditation is not evasion; it is a serene encounter with reality.

How Meditation Can Help You
The regular practice of meditation has a number of benefits including those associated with the brain. There is scientific research showing that meditation actually changes the brain through a process known as neuroplasticity. This enables us to think more effectively, form new habits and enhance cognitive abilities. As well as positive effects on the brain, developing a regular practice results in reduced stress and increased focus. Meditation cultivates mindfulness leading to a happier, healthier life.
Developing a daily practice leads to a host of benefits including:

Open the window of your mind. Allow the fresh air, new lights and new truths to enter.

Types of Meditation
Some people are more receptive to certain types of Meditation than others. Let us help you find and develop the practice that works best for you.
A technique used to strengthen the mind body connection. It involves paying attention to the various parts of your body, from your little toe to your body as a whole. Can be used for relaxation and to treat pain.
A type of focused awareness meditation that promotes deep relaxation and develops inner peace. Generally used early on in meditation practice to clear our minds. Can also assist with focus and improve sleep.
This is the practice of picturing things in our minds as we meditate. This has a number of benefits including breaking habits, improved sleep, assisting with achievement of goals as well a spiritual growth.
Another type of focused awareness practice known to quieten the mind and aid relaxation. This can involve silently repeating a phrase or several phrases or doing so out loud in a chanting fashion. Often used in religious practice but can be practiced in a secular way.
Through loving kindness meditation we learn to share love and kindness with others and ourselves. The benefits of this practice include improved sense of wellbeing and self-acceptance, reduction of anxiety, stabilised emotions and strengthening relationships.
This is the opposite to focussed awareness such as focussing on the breath or a mantra. In this meditation we allow our mind and awareness to be open, not fixed on one single thing, but to perceive everything in our environment. The benefit of this practice includes relaxation, creative thinking, and increased concentration.
Some people are not comfortable with closing their eyes during meditation. Meditation can also be done with the eyes open, by softening the gaze and focusing on a point. The benefits include a sharper sense of clarity and relaxation.

What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness has roots in Buddhism but is now largely practiced in a secular way. Mindfulness is being present, not having our thoughts drifting between the past and the future. It’s about being intentionally aware of what is arising through our senses in a calm non-judgemental fashion. It’s about acknowledging and accepting any thoughts, feelings, emotions and bodily sensations. It also involves the contemplation of consciousness.
Mindfulness is a way of befriending ourselves and our experience.
